High Lateral STEMI
Key Characteristics
​•ST elevation in lateral leads
•Reciprocal inferior depressions
•Up in I, aVL, V5-V6
•Down in III and avF
•“South African Flag Sign”

Causes
​•Lateral LV from LAD and LCx
•Often part of larger territory infarction, usual first diagonal branch of LAD
Treatment
​•Activate Cath Lab::PCI: 90 minutes//Lysis: 30 minutes
•ASA, Heparin, Statin, Oxygen, Nitro, Beta blocker
